What I did

Led the full brand build for Canadian chocolate brand GATTE — from naming and tone of voice to product naming, UX input, and launch strategy.

The Context

The brand was grounded in the insight that what customers say they want often differs from what actually drives them — based on the ground-breaking work of market researcher Howard Moskowitz. Messaging needed to reflect this, without sounding too technical or distracting.

The Strategy

Created a tone of voice that was smart, subtle and emotionally resonant. Developed full brand guidelines, including product naming with SEO in mind, and created all web content and UX flow ahead of launch.

The Impact


Ongoing partnership with GATTE as they grow. Their distinct tone of voice now carries through collaborations with QVC and TSC, helping the brand build recognition and credibility.
